The Singareni Collieries Company Limited or SCCL is a government-owned coal mining company in India. One of the public sector undertakings, the company is jointly owned by the Telangana government (51 percent) and the Union Government (49 percent). The Union Government's administration of the company is through the Ministry of Coal. SCCL is currently operating 16 opencast and 32 underground mines in 4 districts of Telangana with a manpower around 62,805.There are 4 opencast and 12 underground mines in and around manthani.

Sripada Yellampalli project
Sripada Yellampalli project is an irrigation project located at Yellampalli Village, Ramagundam Mandal, between Karimnagar district- Adilabad district in Telangana, India .The project is fourth largest on the Godavari River in Telangana region. It is named after late legislator, D. Sripada Rao.
The project is designed to utilise about 63 tmc of water at a cost of Rs. 900 crores in the first phase. In the second phase, about 49.5 tmc would be lifted to the upland regions of Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Warangal and Medak districts. 6 tmc water allotted for NTPCramagundam project.After the flood gates are installed, the project couldwould save about 20 Tmcft of water. Presently, the project was storing only 3.5 tmcft of water.
The project operational requirement is 163 MW power and 469 million KWh of electrical energy annually to pump the water. The project would supply water for NTPC power project reservoir in Ramagundam mandal in Karimnagar. it is started on 2005 near mormoor and yellampalli village.
Sivaram wildlife Sanctuary
Sivaram wildlife Sanctuary Located along the holy River Godavari in Karimnagar district of Telangana, the total area of this beautiful wildlife Sanctuary is approx. 36.29 sq kms. This wildlife sanctuary is well known for Marsh Crocodiles that are seen throughout the Indo Gangetic plain.
The marsh crocodiles are the fresh water crocodile which are also known as Mugger Crocodiles. These mugger crocodiles outnumber the salt water crocodiles, and can crawl for a considerable distances on land. These crocodiles that are equally mobile on land as well as in water, and this quality stands as the hot tourist attraction at Sivaram wildlife Sanctuary in Telangana.
The deciduous vegetation of this sanctuary consisting of Timan, Terminalias, Teak, Gumpena, Kodsha. It also has some Thorny Shrubs. The wildlife sanctuary attracts a lot of tourists with its wide collection of fauna which includes Sloth bear, Nilgai, Panther, Langaun Rhesus Monkey, Cheetal, etc. The most appropriate time for a visit to this wildlife Sanctuary is winter.
How to Reach
Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve located nearly 10 km from Manthani in Telangana and is well accessible by road. peddapalli is the nearest railway station.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad College of Engineering Manthani (JNTUHCEM or JNTM) is a constituent engineering college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU Hyderabad). It is located in Karimnagar district in Telangana, India. It was established in 2010 to provide Engineering Education to the rural youth of the backward districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal. The Campus lies mid-way between peddapalli and Manthani road and is around 65 k.m away from Karimnagar and 17 k.m away from Godavarikhani.
The college has been supported by Singareni Collieries Company for infrastructural development. As a Social obligation the University is permitted to provide 5% supernumerary seats in each discipline to the children of employees of Singareni Collieries

Godavari Pushkaralu News
Koti Lingala and Manthani in Karimnagar district, but, this time, the
district administration had decided to conduct pushkaralu all along the
shores of Godavari in Karimnagar district for the benefit of devotees.
The Godavari Pushkaralu would be held from July 14 to 27 this year.
Expecting a surge of pilgrims at the temple shrines in the district, the
administration decided to conduct Pushkaralu in six other places along
the shores of river Godavari in Mallapur, Dharmapuri, Ibrahimpatnam and
Ramagundam mandals. The authorities have decided to conduct Godavari
pushkaralu at the Erdandi in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Valigonda and VV Rao
Peta village of Mallapur mandal, Thimmapur and Rayapatnam villages of
Dharmapuri mandals.
Accordingly, the authorities have prepared plans for the construction of
bathing ghats and provision of other facilities such as laying of roads
on the river shores etc. Following demand from the Godavarikhani coal
belt region, the authorities were also examining the construction of
bathing ghats on the shores of river Godavari at Ramagundam mandal for
the benefit of coal miners in the region.
The authorities have also prepared an action plan for the Pushkaralu arrangements at a cost of Rs 77.77 crore.
Officials said that the decision to construct the bathing ghats all
along the shores of river Godavari was taken to ease the congestion at
the temple shrines.
“During Pushkaralu, the pilgrims take holy dip in the river and perform
the ‘shradha’ rituals and other offerings and leave the place. Instead
of allowing all pilgrims at one particular place temple shrine, we are
planning to ease the congestion at the temple shrine by allowing the
pilgrims to take holy dip in the river at various places in the
district,” they added.
Kaleshwaram
Kaleshwaram is a village in Mahadevpur Mandal in Karimnagar district in the Indian state of Telangana. This name refers more broadly to the state of Telangana.Kaleshawarma is on the border of Telangana and Maharashtra at the juncture of the Rivers Godavari and its Pranahiti tributary. It is 277 kilometres from Hyderabad, 125 kilometres from Karimnagar, 115 kilometres from Warangal, 75 kilometres from Parkal and 60 kilometres from Manthani.
The holy place draws tourists during the Karthika Month of the Indian Calendar, 16 November – 15 December. Holy baths are held during 6 to 17 December. People who bathe here first visit Lord Ganesha, then pray to Lord Yama and then to Lord Shiva. The temple is open from 4:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 3:30-9:00 p.m.Two types of prasadam are inside the temple: Pulihora (Tamarind rice) and Laddu (Sweet).

People believe that there is another river named saraswathi flowing under godavari and pranahita,therefore calling the meeting point as Triveni(three) Sangamam (Confluence).Kaleshwaram is center for pushkaras which are organised once for every 12 years. Saraswathi pushkaras took place in 2013 summer and godavari pushkaras took place in 2015.
